Fragments of windows and glass bottles get a renewed life in these weighty beads, handcrafted by members of Ghana’s Krobo tribe. The pieces are placed into handmade clay molds and fired in an outdoor kiln. The result is a rustic, upcycled bead—or _bodum_—with the sand-cast texture of sea glass. Here, blue and aqua beads alternate with glass discs, strung on generous elastic to fit most wrists. Please accept small variations as evidence of its one-of-a-kind story. Keep one, give one to a friend.
